Advanced Color Darkroom

This Advanced Color Darkroom workshop will build upon the skills learned in Color Darkroom 101. This course will focus on:

Techniques in manually dodging and burning during the printing process to enhance the print

Working with a larger paper size (11×14 or 16×20) for the final take home print

Printing larger (20×30) images

Working with special effect overlay masks on the negatives

Printing on rare metallic paper


Prerequisites: Color Darkroom 101 or other working experience in a color darkroom


Bring: One roll of exposed, unprocessed C-41 (color) 35mm film, brown bag lunch/water/snacks.

Instructor: Bill Wierzalis: As a color and black & white printer for the last 35 years, Bill has mastered the art of printing using only the analog process of light sensitive materials and photochemistry. Besides having worked in three photography studios with other professional photographers, he exhibits his images in 20 art shows a year around the East Coast.
