Workshop: Portrait Lighting

March 31, 2018 at 10:00am

Students will be trained to use professional studio strobe lighting with an emphasis on photographing people.  Instructor will demonstrate various forms of equipment including parabolic octobank, fresnel, different types of umbrellas, beauty dish, soft boxes, grids, rolls of diffusion, colored gels and light bouncing and blocking options common in the still photography industry.  Students will become familiar with the different qualities of light and amount of control that each lighting modifier produces so that they may pre-visualize a lighting scenario and have the tools to problem solve.
